WHAT IS THE EURASIA ROAD?

Via Egnatia Foundation (Netherlands), Sultans Road Foundation (Netherlands), Bursa Nilüfer Municipality, Izmit Municipality, Edirne Municipality and Puglia Regional Municipality in Italy are among the participating institutions involved in the project. In the project, which started in April 2019 and will continue for one year, the joint institutions will apply for the registration of the Council of Europe Cultural Routes Institute, a new hiking route known as the Eurasian Road and extending from Bari, Italy to Demre district of Antalya. This institute in Luxemburg is a body of the Council of Europe authorized to register themed long-distance walking and other cultural routes as the 'European Cultural Route'. If the certification process occurs, the Eurasian path length in excess of about 5000 km of Turkey's first registered, and Europe's culture will be the most long-haul international routes.
