TCDD General Director of Transportation Erol Arıkan and Uzbekistan Railways Chairman Hasilov Husniddin Nuruddinovich chaired the meeting; The issues that need to be done in order to increase the transportation through Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line were discussed.
In addition, while discussing the draft of the wagons to be used in transport, the facilities and logistics centers of Uzbekistan Railways were examined on site.
Erol Arıkan, General Manager of TCDD Transportation, underlined that an important corridor has been created for the transportation of cargo potential from the Far East to Europe via the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line and said: One of them is the friendly and brotherly country Uzbekistan. While creating a north-south corridor with Russia via ICTA, transports in nine destinations, including Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and China, are increasing in terms of quantity and diversity, and negotiations for new destinations continue.
