2 September 1857 The construction of the line was confirmed by signing the original contracts of the first railway line in Constanta-Chernovas (Boğazköy) in Rumeli.
2 September 1908 Thessaloniki-Monastery Railroad workers went on strike to raise wages and improve working conditions. Some of the workers' request was accepted at 4 September 1908.
2 September 1925 Kütahya-Balıkesir line construction started in Kütahya. It was built by Turkish contractors until the Kütahya-Demirciören stop (13 km).
