The railroad, where China completed its construction in one go, officially came into service, with the 10-ton coal capacity train going from the Hole Baoji village of Inner Mongolia to the city of Ji'an in Jiangxi province.

The 813-kilometer-long railway passes through China's Inner Mongolia Region and Sha'anxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces. The project is also the longest heavy-duty railroad built in the world at one time. The railway in question is of great importance in terms of transporting coal from the northern regions to the southern regions and national energy distribution.
