The 55 km long Nurdağ-Başpınar high-speed train project connecting Ankara and Istanbul to Gaziantep includes a double tube 17.5 km tunnel, 48 culvert, 5 overpass and 1 viaduct.
When completed Turkey's longest railway tunnel (9950 meters double tube) will be in the garden-Nurdağ tunnel is expected to be seen in the light of the years 2019. The tunnel will reduce the travel time of 85 minutes to 15 minutes.
