4 August 1871 The first railway line of state enterprise Haydarpasa-Izmit railway construction was started.
4 August 1895 Çoğürler-Afyon (74 km) line is opened. The line was purchased in 31 December 1928.
4 August 1903 Bulgarian terrorists blew up some railway points with dynamite. Banice Station's warehouse was set on fire, telegraph wires were broken.
4 August 2019 Istanbul-Izmir Highway 4 was opened by President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN at a ceremony held in Bursa on Sunday.
