The historical Murat Bridge and its surroundings, built by the Seljuks in the 13th century in Muş, are aimed to be brought to tourism.

According to the statement published on the official website of the Governorship of Muş; “The first step was taken to bring the historical Murat Bridge, which is located on the Murat River and built by the Seljuks in the 13th century and is one of the most valuable structures of both Muş and the region. In 2018, architectural and landscape projects were prepared by the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency (DAKA) in order to make the Historic Murat Bridge a busy tourism destination for Muş and the region, and made ready for tender for the construction work.

The project was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology with the support of a guided project. Dr. Ilker Gunduzoz and DAKA Secretary General Halil Ibrahim Guray.

With the aim of producing and marketing local products of Muş, the project will build a production workshop where especially disadvantaged women will work, as well as exhibition areas, adventure trails, walking paths, observation terraces, piers. With the realization of the project, it is aimed to attract a large number of visitors from Muş and the surrounding provinces thanks to the social areas it will accommodate.

The project, which is governed by the Governorate of Muş and supported by the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency under the Guided Project Program, will not only reveal the cultural and touristic potential of Muş, but will also contribute to employment and economy by producing local products.
