Sivas Mayor Hilmi Bilgin made observations on the construction site of Kale Project, which will add value to Sivas, and received information about the meticulously conducted works in the field.
In the Kale Project, which will integrate the Ulu Mosque and Gök Madrasah, archeological excavations continue while construction works of the library, arasta, bedesten and dining house gained speed.
The project, which will be built in the form of a mansion architecture and a Sivas neighborhood, will contribute to the tourism of the city. A total of 102 buildings will be built with the outbuildings within the scope of the project.

Mayor Bilgin made an evaluation following the investigations in the field and said, “The work continues as planned. In the first stage, the tender area covers 25% of the project. Hopefully, with the additional auctions we will hold this year, a portion of 35% will be tendered. A project that will cost 100 million. We will integrate Gök Medrese and Ulu Mosque with our castle project. We believe that it will make a great contribution to Sivas in historical and cultural terms. We aim to integrate Sivas city square, which is one of the most beautiful squares in our country, with our castle project and make it one of the few squares in the world. I hope all our fellow countrymen will be proud of this project. Our goal is to both protect our ancestral relics, and to create a more livable city. ”

Bilgin stated that they are considering all the projects as integrated with each other and added, “Hopefully Sivas will move to a different segment with the arrival of the high-speed train in our city next year. You will be able to reach cities like Ankara, Istanbul and Konya in a short time between 2,5 and 5 hours.
