It is announced that the construction works of the Selemçe Basra railway line, which will connect Iran to the Mediterranean countries, will begin in the coming days.
Said General Director of Iranian Railways Said Resuli said that Selemçe Basra railway line will be 33 kilometers and that an 700 meter bridge will be built within the scope of the project. Rasuli reminded that the railway line will connect Iran to the Mediterranean countries and the works will be completed within the year. With the completion of the construction of the line between Iran and the Middle East will be transported large commercial and passenger transportation, the ultimate goal of the project was to establish a connection with the port of Latakia in Syria.
