Hüseyin Keskin, General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) and Chairman of the Board of Directors stated that as a result of the arrangements made, Istanbul Airport's flight times are reduced by 1300 minutes and 8 fuel savings are achieved every day.
General Manager Keskin, who shared his official Twitter account (@dhmihkeskin) on the subject, said:

Istanbul Airspace, which has been completely designed by using national facilities and capabilities, provides services to all airports and transit flights in the region, especially Istanbul Airport, which brings our aviation to the first place in the world with its renewed flight routes.
As a result of the new regulations in the Marmara region, with the opening of Istanbul Airport, flight routes were shortened by 8%. In this way, 1300 fuel savings are achieved with an average reduction of 8 minutes per day in Istanbul Airport's flight times alone.
