The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsports team celebrated their 125 year in motorsport and the 1 race in Formula 200, with several successes with Monster Energy pilots Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.

Car racing is a bumpy sport. The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsports team was preparing to sign another success in Hockenheim in Southern Germany last weekend after the victory at the British Grand Prix two weeks ago, as well as to celebrate the two great anniversary.

Monster Energy pilots Lewis and Valtteri finished the race in Silverstone, taking their teams to the top, finishing first and second. Last Sunday, they seemed to repeat this result in Hockenheim in Southern Germany. Because the P1 and P3 qualifiers on Saturday indicated that the team would perform very well in the next day's races. However, the result was the opposite of what was expected. While Lewis finished 11th in the race, Valtteri was out of the race by accident. It was a fate of fate that Mercedes-Benz's 125th year in motorsport and the team's 1th race in Formula 200 coincided this weekend. But unfortunately there was no celebration.

HISTORY OF SILVER ARROW

In this race, special white paint was used in the Mercedes AMG F85 W1934 EQ Power + cars of Lewis and Valtteri to commemorate the original Silver Arrow (nicknamed 'Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsports'), born in 1, 10 years ago. Back then, the colors of racing cars represented the origin of vehicles or pilots. Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix racing cars were painted white. According to the legend, in the "Eifelrennen" event held at the Nürburgring on June 3, 1934, the weight of the Mercedes-Benz W25 exceeded the 750-pound limit. Thereupon, white paint was removed, and a silver-looking metal bonnet appeared. So the team's name became Silver Arrow.

If we jump to 1954, Mercedes-Benz entered Formula 1 for the first time that year with the French Grand Prix. The race was held on July 4, 1954 in Reims. The great Juan Mauel Fangio triumphed with the W196. Despite the poor result in Hockenheim, the team's record of 1 wins in 200 races in Formula 96 is still alive. Moreover, during this time, the team won five team championship titles, seven driver championship titles, took 109 pol positions, and achieved the fastest completion of the lap 70 times.

In the real motorsport tradition, however, Lewis and Valtteri immediately leave their frustration in Hockenheim in the past and focus on the next race in Hungary. Most importantly, Lewis F1 is the most successful driver in Hungaroring. There were six wins here: 2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018. Last year, the Silver Arrow duo ended the race here once and second.
