4 people were killed and 4 people were injured in a train accident in Avenay-Val-d'or city of Marne region in the north of France.

Train in the city of Avenay-Val-d'or in the Reims region in the northeast of France, collided with a car. According to a statement made by the French National Railways Company, the 30 woman, a ten-year-old girl and a two-year-old girl and a boy, were found in the car in the accident.

Every year, hundreds of people in France are injured in level crossings and dozens of people are killed. The French railway operator SNCF is working on raising fenced passages, but said most of the accidents were caused by drivers who ignored warnings and tried to cross the level crossing barriers.

It is not yet clear whether the Avenay-Val-d'Or passage is gated and an investigation into the accident has been initiated.
