At the end of the investigation started after the accident, TCDD personnel Turgut Kurt, Özkan Polat, Celaleddin Çabuk and Çetin Yıldırım were charged with sentences of 2 years and 15 years in prison for 'causing negligent death and injury'.
The first hearing of the case held at the Çorlu Justice Palace Conference Hall on July 3 was eventful when the families of the victims were not taken to the hall on the grounds that there was no room. The court board was withdrawn from the case.
Çorlu 2 nd High Jury Court convened after the delegation's decision to withdraw and determined the date of the hearing and the place of the hearing. The delegation decided to hold the second hearing on 10 September 2019 in the large hall of Çorlu Public Education Center.
