Visiting the Filyos Industrial and Port Area, Varank made examinations in the construction area. Stating that Filyos Port will be one of the most important ports of the region when it is completed, Minister Varank said, “We will see this place as a gateway to the Black Sea and then to the world. This is an important port to serve Bartın, Karabük and Zonguldak. At the same time our region with rail and road links even become one of Turkey's most important trade centers. We have an industrial zone right behind the harbor. Filyos Industrial Zone will also contribute to the development of these three provinces. We want to make this region the center for qualified iron and steel investments. Here, developing and producing of Turkey's economy we want to become one of the most important ecosystems. " said.

Industry and Technology Minister Varank said that when investments in the region were completed, more than 10 thousand new jobs, $ 1,5 billion investment and $ 750 million exports were foreseen. Pointing out that the works continue at full speed, Varank said, “Investors are waiting for the completion of the plans and they want to make their investments after the suspension period. We have very enthusiastic companies. Whether KARDEMİR and Tosyalı Group, they are waiting for our efforts to finish as soon as possible to invest.
