Minister Turhan Investigated Izmir Istanbul Highway Works

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan, Istanbul-Izmir Motorway, visited the construction of the Balıkesir part of the investigation.

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan visited the construction in the Balıkesir-İzmir Motorway and examined the construction of Balıkesir. He stated that Istanbul-Izmir Motorway will be one of the important transportation axes connecting Marmara Region to Aegean Region, Western Mediterranean and Western Anatolia Region.

This new road, under 404 kilometer Istanbul-Izmir Highway, will be able to reach 3,5 from Istanbul in an hour under normal operating conditions. This will provide an important economic contribution to road users, will save time and fuel, and this route will provide important opportunities and facilities especially in the transportation of industrial products and agricultural products both in Turkey and abroad. ”
