Another project promised by Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer before March 31 is being implemented. Aiming to make breathtaking touches to city traffic at key points, the Metropolitan Municipality will expand the coastline of Altınyol, one of the main vessels of the city, from 3 lanes to 4 lanes.
One of the projects that Izmir Metropolitan Mayor Tunç Soyer expressed in his election campaign as 'touches that will ease the traffic in the city' is taking place. Büyükşehir, which has brought Adnan Kahveci Köprülü Intersection to the region in the past years, now aims to relieve the traffic flow with the road expansion work. Within the scope of the works to be carried out in the form of two stages, the sea side of Altınyol, which is located between Naldöken Junction and Adnan Kahveci Köprülü Junction, will be increased from 3.7 lanes to 3 lanes. Within the scope of the 4nd Stage works, which will start later, Adnan Kahveci Köprülü Interchange and Bornova separation will be discussed.
Trees remaining on the trunk will be transferred
The work at Altınyol will begin with the transfer of the remaining 50 trees (40 palm trees, 3 grain pine, 2 grain black cypress, 3 grain eucalyptus, 2 grain jacaranda) from the region this week. Then the construction work will begin. Metropolitan Municipality attaches great importance to the green texture of the city; will keep the trees in the maintenance area for a while. The trees will then be transported to a suitable green area.
Schools will be completed until opening
The project will be completed by the Metropolitan Municipality in order to ease the traffic before the 2019-2020 Academic Year. Thanks to this great transportation project, Altınyol KarşıyakaOn the way from Konak to Konak, 1 strip of the beach will expand. It will be ensured that the works that will affect the entire Altınyol (land and sea) will not disrupt the traffic. During the productions to be made on both the sea and land sides of Altınyol, only traffic in both parts will be processed from two lanes.
