Modernization works of Eskişehir Balıkesir railway line were completed. Electrical works of the Kütahya Balıkesir railway line and automatic signaling project were completed. During the modernization works, 6 transformer substations were installed between Balıkesir and Eskişehir. Automatic barriers were installed in the level crossings.

The first electric locomotive that departed from 16.30 at the train station came to Balıkesir Train Station at 02.49.
The control point of the 328 km railway line between Eskişehir and Balıkesir, including Kütahya, is in Afyon.
