Transport and Infrastructure Minister M.Cahit TURHAN stated that the Catalca Ring Road, which will connect the North Marmara Motorway with TEM, will be opened this weekend.

With the project, which has the opportunity to transport the traffic carried by the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, which has been completed, to Çatalca through this route and to direct traffic to Mahmutbey Junction from Edirne direction to the Northern Marmara Motorway via Çatalca Ring Road, and also to Çatalca. Halkalı The connection between the Customs Directorate will be provided by this route. Subaşı Junction - Çatalca Yolu is also; By connecting Çatalca, Büyükçekmece and Avcılar districts to Istanbul Airport, it will also decrease the increasing city traffic density of Istanbul.

Subaşı Junction - Çatalca Road, which was tendered on 12 April 2016 and started to be built, consists of 16 km. The new road, constructed in high geometric and physical standards, with 2 x 3 lanes, bituminous hot mix coating and divided road, has been designed in a way to ease the internal traffic of the settlements as the ring road.

Stating that this road is very important for the industrial enterprises in the region, TURHAN continued his speech as follows: “The construction of Kanal Istanbul will also accelerate the development in the region. At this point, we will also implement a project that will connect the Başakşehir Junction to the Hasdal Junction under Cebeci Mahallesi and then the North Marmara Motorway to meet the capacity to be formed in the region. ”
