Ankara, the heart of our country, once again witnessed a historic day.

Turkey, Russia and Azerbaijan Railways Between the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway Route Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation, we made our Entity Ministry and hosted in Ankara.

The ceremony was held in our country, which is located on the main transportation corridor between Asia and Europe, as well as our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mr. M. Cahit Turhan, and many of our ministers have witnessed this historical day.

The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, which brings civilizations, peoples and cultures back together on the historical Silk Road, is of great importance since it concerns not only three countries but also all countries and peoples from China to Beijing.

This line is the shortest, most economical and safest transportation line on the east-west axis of the world.

In Turkey, this corridor, especially the BTK railway line, we endeavor to increase the share of transportation we have achieved and become more active.

The Memorandum of Understanding, which we have signed for the dissemination of the use of BTK railway line, including the friendly country Russia, as well as Azerbaijan and Georgia, is the most important milestone on this path.

Turkey, Russia and Azerbaijan signed between the railway administrations, the development of transport and trade between our two countries will contribute to wish the Memorandum of Understanding will be beneficial.
