Traffic and parking in the city center is relaxing. Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Assoc. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın's interviews with the Provincial Directorate of National Education ended. Upon the recommendation of President Büyükakın, the school gardens will now provide free parking.

Upon the recommendation of Mayor Büyükakın, the gardens of the former İzmit High School and Gazi High School will now serve as a free car park for the people of Izmit. The city's tradesmen in Kocaeli had been working for a long time for free parking.

As you may remember, the Mayor of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Tahir Büyükakın visited İKM before the local elections, and İKM President Murat Öztürk submitted the request for free parking for tradesmen to Büyükakın. As soon as Büyükakın took office, he met with the Provincial Director of National Education, Fehmi Rasim Çelik, and took a step towards the solution of the problem.
HOURS DETERMINED
The car parks will serve from 16.00 X 24.00 on weekdays, while the weekend will run from 15.30-24.00 on Saturday and 9.00-24.00 on Sunday.
