Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure A civil coordination meeting was held with the participation of the managers of the airline companies in Istanbul and the related institutions and organizations under the chairmanship of Ömer Fatih Sayan.

Bahri Kesici, Deputy General Manager of Civil Aviation, attended the meeting held at the Turkish Civil Aviation Academy at 15 April 2019. Asst. Mehmet Karakan, Meteorology Gen. Md. Asst. M. Fatih Büyükkasabbaşı, THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi, TÖSHİD President Mehmet Tevfik Nane and the top executives of the airlines were held with the participation of TÖSHİD members.

Deputy Minister Omer Fatih Sayan, who delivered the opening speech of the meeting, drew attention to the importance of the sector to act in coordination in the steps to be taken in order to make the development of the civil aviation sector, which has grown in double digits for the last ten years. At the meeting where current issues, expectations of the sector and solution suggestions in civil aviation were discussed, after the move to Istanbul Airport, views on the road map of civil aviation were exchanged.

Private Aviation Enterprises Association of Turkey including expectations and requirements of the airline business (TOSHID) solutions for the delivery of the industry's needs and thy DGCA expectations from the airlines on various issues were discussed.

During the meeting, all the demands on the agenda were discussed in detail and suggestions for the solution were determined and additional works of the parties were decided.

In the last quarter of the year, it was decided to make preparations for a civil aviation strategy workshop.
