ISTANBULKART TRANSFORMES THE ”CITY LIVING CARD İSTANBUL
With that being used for the first time in years 2007 istanbulkart public transportation in Turkey has been switched to electronic payment systems. Later on, in order to transform Istanbulkart into a ”City Life Card X that could be used in all payments, the Bank obtained a license to operate from the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA). Thus Istanbulkart in the first place; İSPARK, İBB Social Facilities, BELTUR's cafeterias and pavilions were made compatible with the payment system. Now begins the use of Turkey and the world.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has already taken the first step to make Istanbulkart available for all purchases, with 18 million active users. Istanbulkart payments will be made in single shots. TROY-equipped Istanbul card works are planned to be completed by the end of this year.
