Transport and Infrastructure Minister M. Cahit Turhan will make the announcement of the last plane to depart from Ataturk Airport during the completion of moving to Istanbul Airport.

Moving to Istanbul Airport, where the gradual transition began, opened on October 29, 2018 by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and the night connecting April 5 to April 6 will be completed. The last commercial airplane from Atatürk Airport will depart at 02:00 after the announcement of Minister Turhan.

With the ceremony attended by Minister Turhan and THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi at the Atatürk Airport Air Control Tower, THY's 350-person TK54 flight airplane will move to Singapore.

After the big move to Istanbul Airport, which will start at 17:00 tomorrow and be completed on Saturday, April 6 at 10:00, Atatürk Airport will be closed to commercial flights. General aviation, maintenance, detached cargo and state aircraft and private VIP / CIP flights will continue.

In line with the statement made by our President, Erdogan continues to work on the construction of a part of Ataturk Airport and the evaluation of aviation elements.
