The meeting on the National Rail Systems Test and Research Center Project (URAYSİM), which was carried out within the scope of domestic and national projects, was held in 26 March 2019 in Eskişehir.

“We need this project, we will try to finish it in three years”
Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Selim Dursun said that they will try to complete the URAYSİM Project with stakeholders in three years.
Stating that the center and the national wealth will be prevented from going abroad, Dursun said, “Let's get a job from abroad. Let's keep up with technological developments. We have a vision of 2023. While achieving these vision goals, we will have a nice center where all the units of these units will be tested, such as pull-out vehicles, high-speed trains, subways, monorails. We need URAYSİM. ” he spoke.

Rector of Anadolu University Dr. Şafak Ertan Çomaklı explained that they have been in talks with URAYSİM about the related stakeholders for five months and that they have overcome some of the problems in the project with the support of the stakeholders and reached a certain stage.
Çomaklı, said:
"I'm just not URAYS Eskisehir, Turkey's future is one of the important milestones. It has a plan to reduce our dependency abroad. In the project, great duties fall to Eskişehir Technical University. URAYSİM will be an important R&D Center and a base for rail systems. ”
Rector of Eskişehir Technical University Dr. Tuncay Döğeroğlu emphasized that they are committed to raising and sustaining the qualified human resources required for the project.
