The 4th section of the Kurtköy Akyazı section of the Northern Marmara Highway was put into use with a ceremony attended by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan via live connection and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan was present.
President Erdoğan attended the opening of the section that covers the Kurtköy-Liman Junction line and the port connection road of the Northern Marmara Motorway with a live connection while addressing the public at the rally organized by the AK Party in Izmit National Will Square.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Turhan reminded that they are at the point where three highways meet, and reminded that the North Marmara Motorway was opened at the weekend with the participation of our President Erdoğan.
Reminding that the Izmir-Istanbul Motorway opened the Akhisar and Balıkesir city crossings on March 17, Turhan said that yesterday they installed the tower caisson foundation shaft assembly of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge.
