Minister Turhan, spoke about Trabzon-Erzincan Railway!

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan made statements about Trabzon Erzincan Railway and Zigana Tunnel. Minister Turhan said, “Our Erzincan-Gümüşhane-Trabzon railway project, which we planned and carried out, continues. Hopefully, we will include it in the construction program and bring our Gümüşhane together with this transportation infrastructure. ”

Minister Turhan visited Gümüşhane Mayor Ercan Çimen in his office and received information about the investments and other activities in the city.

Stating that Gümüşhane is a province famous for its forests, plateaus, rivers, touristic and historical places, Turhan emphasized that it is also an intersection point on the country's transit highways.

Turhan underlined that Gümüşhane is small in population but rich in terms of its mines, resources, historical and touristic values.

Pointing out that as the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Gümüşhane has best equipped the transportation infrastructure with high standard ways by using the latest technological facilities, Turhan said:

“These Gümüşhane-based roads have been completed to a great extent, but the big Zigana Tunnel, which is under construction in the connection of Trabzon to the north, the Vauk and Kop Tunnel, which is still under construction on the Erzurum line, and the Peking Tunnel, which is under construction on the Erzincan line, I believe that when these are completed, the transportation, quality of life of Gümüşhane commercial and economic opportunities will increase further. Gümüşhane will have better opportunities to bring natural resources to the economy. In the continuation of this, our Erzincan-Gümüşhane-Trabzon railway project, which we planned and carried out, continues. Hopefully, we will include it in the construction program and bring our Gümüşhane together with this transportation infrastructure. ”

Minister Turhan stated that the government invested not only with the transportation infrastructure, but also with the industry, tourism, education and health services by meeting the needs in Gümüşhane.
