The entire line, including warehouse and workshop areas, was built underground.


The tunnels of the line are between TBM - Kozyatağı and Kartal - Kaynarca; It was excavated by NATM method between Kozyatağı and Kartal. There is an additional rail track and two side platforms at Bostancı Station, considering the need for alternative operation. All other stations are constructed as a side platform. Station length is 180 meters and suitable for train operation with 8. There are 259 pieces of escalators and 70 units. The 30 turn-by-turn is designed to allow 315 to pass through for passengers with disabilities.


Smoke and passenger evacuation scenarios have been prepared against the negative situations that may occur in Kadıköy Tavşantepe Metro Line and simulations related to these scenarios have been tested. With the total 991 cameras in the stations, the system is continuously monitored, controlled and inspected by security guards.

The signaling of the line and the storage area has a continuous communication-based Motion Block system. The signaling system is Thales CBTC system and there is no driver parking for trains.

All equipment used in the construction of the line is selected from materials that are resistant to high temperature and do not emit toxic gases. In the event of fire, to ensure the evacuation of the passengers as soon as possible and safely; There is a reliable smoke control and evacuation system in accordance with the standards, especially NFPA, which can operate fully automatically.

At the Kadıköy Tavşantepe Metro Line, the energy supply of the whole system is carried out from 3 separate points. If all three supply points fail, the generators at the 2 separate terminal are activated. With the activation of the generators, all trains in the tunnel are delivered to the nearest station and the passengers are evacuated. In case of failure of supply of energy and failure of generators; The lighting system and electronic control systems can be powered by uninterruptible power supplies for 3 hours.
