THERE IS THE WRITING OF THE GENERAL MANAGER APAYDIN
The new year means a new hope and a new excitement.
As the flagship organization of the Turkish railway sector, we are entering the new year with new hopes and new excitement.
As we enter the new year with hope, we have left behind another successful year.
In Ankara, 12 was opened in April with the presence of the President of the Republic of Turkey to provide modern and comfortable commuter services between Sincan-Ankara-Kayaş. Then we laid the foundation of GAZİRAY project in Gaziantep.
We have commissioned Sultan Alparslan and Idris-I Bitlis ferries with high carrying capacity on Lake Van. It was a source of pride that both the ferries and the engines, which were produced as fully local marine, were used in our subsidiary TÜLOMSAŞ.
While we are presenting the Erzurum Logistics Center to the service of our logistics sector, we have completed the construction of Konya (Kayacık) and Mersin (Yenice) Logistics centers. We opened the Konya-Karaman high-speed railway for electric operation.
As a result of the importance attached to the railway in our country, we have experienced the joy and happiness of witnessing the developments that have increased our prestige in the international arena.
We have successfully realized the High Speed Railway Congress of the International Railways Association (UIC) in our country for the first time. The re-election of the Vice President of UIC, the biggest railway organization in the world, is of great importance for our country and our organization.
In addition, the interest of Turkish and foreign visitors to TCDD at INNOTRANS 2018 Fair, which we have participated in together with our affiliated companies in Berlin, delighted us.
After a year of success, the year of 2019 will be a year in which many important projects will be implemented.
I hope that 2019 will be beneficial for our country and Railways.
