New Generation Traffic Lights in Kocaeli Will Say Stop to Rule Violations

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the process of technological restructuring in many strategic areas in order to facilitate the lives of citizens is adding new investments. In this context, they set up a new generation of traffic lights with LED lights in pilot areas to ensure that drivers are not exposed to light rule violations.

NEW GENERATION TRAFFIC LAMP WITH LED
Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality went on to innovate in signaling systems, which is a road safety network element of transportation services. In order to improve the weakness in traffic sight and stopping distances, pilot regions were determined by Transport Department Traffic Services Branch Directorate teams. New generation LED light traffic lights were made to the designated areas.

LAMPS IN THE REGION OF 3 PILOT
The teams first set up the pilot area as Salim Dervişoğlu Street, the coastal junction exit, the 15 July National Will Square Tramway junction, and the North Side Road Public Security Branch Tramway Junction. Lamps manufactured as model applications were completed and commissioned.

SATISFACTION OF CITIZENS WILL BE TAKEN
The new generation LED traffic lights aim to provide selectivity and awareness in the perception of pilot areas where light rule violations are experienced. Within the framework of this aim, the works that are continuing to be produced within the scope of model application will be included in the investment scope at the request of the citizens. The site will be implemented in other regions by evaluating the return data of the users and the satisfaction-based returns of the citizens.

LED LIGHT LAMPS
Equipped with LED lights with traffic lights, the poles of the traffic lights allow the drivers to adapt more to the traffic lights. The first application was carried out in pilot areas, which were identified by the teams as the major main route 3. With the application, the signaling poles, which take the color of the traffic light from the side, prevent the drivers from crossing the red light with their deterrent feature and make them more careful.
