The bridge over the D-100 created an important transition line. People who want to go to Fatih State Hospital can easily cross the bridge. The 81 meter is a modern overpass with a length of 4 meters. 440 tone steel material was used in the construction of the bridge. Bridge decked edges were made of glass railing and secured. Malkoçoğlu Mehmet Bey, which provides safe transportation to citizens, has elevator and escalators in the overpass.
Who is MALKOÇOĞLU MEHMET BEY?
He served as a commander during the reign of Malkoçoğlu Sultan Yıldırım Bayezid and Murad I. He is one of two children of Mehmet Bey Malkoçoğlu. He fought with his father Malkoç Bey in the conquest of Rumelia. Malkoçoğlu Mehmet Bey, whose tomb is in Gebze, died in 1385. His tomb was built by his father Malkoç Bey. He passed away at a young age before his father.
