Science and Technology Daily reported that the Chinese Railways Corporation is developing a control system that will allow Fuxing high-speed trains to operate automatically at speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour.
1, the national railway company, said on Tuesday that the automatic train operation (OI) system will first be used between Beijing and Zhangjiangkou cities in Hebei province. Automatic trains will be available at 2022 before the Winter Olympics.
The OT system will free the mechanics and the train from stopping at the stations and opening and closing the doors for the passengers. On the other hand, the system will speed up or slow the train according to the tariff.
The OT system has already been installed in two 200 kilometers or some high-speed trains in Guangdong Province. OTI equipment is used for the first time in the world.
At the end of last year, the Chinese Railroad Authority implemented a three-month OTT field test on the high-speed train between Beijing and Shenyang, Liaoning Province. The experts have successfully passed all tests of the system and are ready for regular use.
