The first Fuxing "bullet train", which China presented at an exhibition in Beijing on December 24, 2018, traveling at 160 km per hour, started working on the Lanzhou-Chongqing line as of Tuesday, January 8.

The green high-speed train has reduced the 12-hour journey between Lanzhou, the capital of northwest China's Gansu province, and Chongqing, the southwestern city, to 7 hours.

Geng Qing from the Chinese Railways Lanzhou Group Ltd. states that the new train provides a much faster and more comfortable journey than the old trains.

Lanzhou-Chongqing railway was put into operation on September 29, 2017. The road passes through the most mountainous and hilly areas of Western China for 886 kilometers. The construction of the railway took 9 years.
