As Kardemir, we aim to move our capacities to 2019 Million tonnes levels together with the investments to be completed in 3,5.
For this production, we need a port where we can get around 8 Million tons of raw materials and finished materials. This is a project that will open Kardemir to world markets. The port of Filyos is of great importance not only for Kardemir but for the whole region. This port will also be the gateway of the entire Black Sea to the world. It will ease the load of the Marmara ports and straits, and will relieve the Marmara and Marmara's rail and railway logistics. On the other hand, it will enable foreign trade from Central Asia and Black Sea to reach to the South and the Middle East via our railway network. 3 will bring our region one step closer to the regional leadership in the maritime sector, which will make our region an important trade and industrial center and logistics base.
