International Transport and Logistics Service Providers Association (UTIKAD), continues to support the creation and development of logistics training in the framework of the objectives of the logistics culture in Turkey. The FIATA Diploma Training organized by UTİKAD with the support of İstanbul Technical University Continuous Education Center (İTÜSEM) continues with field visits, where practical applications are examined in addition to the courses carried out at ITU Faculty of Management.

In FIATA Diploma Training, participants made the first field visit of the new period. During the field visit to Marport Port Operations, the participants had the opportunity to see the cargo handling process after the field inspection.

The fourth edition of the FIATA Diploma Training, which was held this year, began on 6 October 2018. Within the scope of the 290 hour-long training, each mode of transport is processed with separate modules. Participants who take theoretical courses from sector managers and academicians also have the chance to have experience with field visits.

FIATA Diploma Training participants made their first field visit to Marport Port Operations on 10 November 2018 Saturday. Marport Port Excursion of the FIATA Diploma Training within the scope of the ve Sea Transport Operations İşlet module issued by Mehmet Yavuz Kankavi started with the presentation of Fatih Yılmazkarasu, Commercial and Customer Relations Manager of Marport Port Operations. In the presentation held in the meeting hall, Yılmazkarasu answered the questions from the participants by mentioning Marport's port layout, activities, docks, expansion of the port area. After the presentation about the port, Mr. Süleyman Erdem Demirci, Commercial and Customer Relations Manager, Mr. Süleyman Erdem Demirci, Commercial and Customer Relations Manager, Marport Port Operations, and 27 participant who conducted field research with Samet Sarı, Trade and Customer Relations Assistant Inspector, examined the handling of cargoes on site and used the tools in the port. received information about methods and field equipment.

During the 2018-2019 period, FIATA diplomas from the headquarters of FIATA, the top organization of the logistics sector, are valid in 150 countries. The courses of the FIATA Diploma Program, which is held every year between October and June, are held in ITU Faculty of Management in Maçka. Those who attend this vocational training on Saturdays only have extensive knowledge about the sector with field visits carried out in addition to classroom courses.
