There are 23 world heritage sites and 712 fish species unique to the Aegean Region on the route. With the addition of İzmir to this network, the list is expected to get richer.

Bicycle tourists, who are on the extension of the EuroVelo 8 Mediterranean Route and want to come to İzmir, can pass by sea from Chios to Cesme or from Lesbos island to Dikili and via Bergili, Aliaga, Foça, Sasali, Urla, Cesme, Alacati and It will reach Seferihisar and Selçuk via Gümüldür.
