Transport and Infrastructure Minister Cahit Turhan said that the high-speed train line between Ankara and Bursa will be completed in 2020 and put into service.

Turhan stated that as the Ministry, they have been working for the country and the nation for 16 years with the support of the government. Pointing out that 537 billion lira has been invested in the transportation and communication infrastructure so far, Turhan said that they have realized more than 100 billion liras of this through public-private sector cooperation. Emphasizing that the Ministry has had a year full of projects, investments and services, despite external manipulations, Turhan said that the next year will continue with a more intense performance. Turhan underlined that they plan to complete the 426-kilometer highway project that will connect Istanbul, Bursa and Izmir next year and put it into service.

Expressing that they will continue to work on high-speed train and high-speed train, which started all over the country next year, Turhan said, “We are working hard to complete the construction of the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​Railway Line by the end of 2019. We are planning to open the operation by completing the Polatlı-Afyonkarahisar-Uşak section of the Ankara-İzmir High Speed ​​Railway Line in 2020, the Uşak-Manisa-İzmir section in 2021 and the Ankara-Bursa line in 2020 ”. Cahit Turhan stated that they will complete the railway connection of Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport next year.
