The IMM Traffic Congestion 7 / 24

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality took necessary measures to combat winter conditions. Under the management of IMM Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), 7 bin 83 personnel and 1.357 vehicles are waiting for the residents of Istanbul to have a comfortable winter. In order to avoid traffic congestion, the 53 crane-rescuer is operating at 24 hours across the province. The 60 critical point is also closely monitored by the ICE Early Warning System (BEUS).

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality took the necessary measures to ensure the smooth running of the winter and to continue the normal life of the city. Teams were deployed at the 7 intervention point identified in the 373 bin 363 kilometer network throughout the province. Under the IMM Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), 7 bin 83 staff and the 1.357 vehicle are in charge of carrying out the war in winter with three shifts.

53 CRANE-RESCUE 24 HOURS PER DAY
53 crane-rescuer was deployed to prevent vehicle accidents, slippage, collisions, etc., from slowing the flow of traffic. Crane-rescuer crews deployed at critical points on the Anatolian and European sides serve 24 hours. 33 barracks fighting vehicle is working in order to prevent any problems on the Metrobus route. IMM teams are also required to support vehicle teams in highways.

60 FOLLOWING WITH CRITICAL POINT BEUS

Additional measures were taken for making the 15 BEUS system and traffic control cameras ready for use for Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and ring roads. Salt bags (10 thousand tons) were started to be used for the use of citizens at critical points and intersections throughout Istanbul.

ALL WORKS WILL BE COORDINATED FROM AKOM
AKOM has started to work on 7 / 24 basis throughout the winter. The snow plows and road opening works of the vehicles on the determined routes are directed by AKOM through the vehicle tracking system.

IMM GUESTS OPENED THE DOORS
For the homeless people on the street, İBB opened the doors of the guest houses in Esenyurt and Kayışdağı. 153 Homeless Citizens notified to the Whitewash line; police, police or ambulances are taken and taken to guest houses after health checks. The citizens who are brought to the guesthouse are provided with winter clothes, coats, pants, shoes, personal care and treatment services, 3 meals and beverages.
