Transport and Infrastructure Minister Mehmet Cahit Turhan, the Ankara-Sivas high-speed train project has come to an end.

Minister Turhan, Turkey to move with the knit network after decades of iron stating that they start again, he continued:

“We have completed the total maintenance and renewal of 10 thousand 789 kilometers of the existing railway network, most of which has remained untouched since its inception. In 2004-2018, we built 138 kilometers of new railways, an average of 983 kilometers per year. Increasing the length of the railway, which is 12 thousand 710 kilometers, to 2023 thousand 25 kilometers in 30 is among our main goals. Turkey, we have made 8 countries with a high-speed train in the world. The number of passengers carried on YHT lines approached 44 million. Meanwhile, we have come to an end in Ankara-Sivas high speed train project. With the railway mobilization we started in 2003, we increased our passenger number from 77 million to 2017 million in 183. In this way, fuel costs were also saved. ”
