Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cumali Atilla attended the ceremony held on the 81st anniversary of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's arrival in Diyarbakır.

The 81st anniversary of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's arrival in Diyarbakır was celebrated with a ceremony. Governor Hasan Basri Güzeloğlu, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Cumali Atilla, 7th Corps and Garrison Commander Lieutenant General Sinan Yayla, Regional Gendarmerie Commander Major General Halis Zafer Koç, Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor Kamil Erkut Güre, Dicle University Rector. Dr. Talip Gül, Deputy Governors, District Governors, military and civil servants, veterans and many teachers, students and citizens participated.

The program started with the arrival of the train train. Then the Diyarbakır Garage Building was prevented. Merve Akman, one of the students, read the poem 'Unity'. The speech was made by the Governor Güzeloğlu about the meaning and importance of the day. Then, Sur Halk Eğitim Merkezi İskenderpaşa Primary School Minikler Halkoyunları team exhibited traditional folk dances of our region.

A wreath was presented to the Atatürk Monument

After the ceremony at the railway station, a wreath presentation ceremony was held at Anıtpark. The ceremony, which started with the presentation of wreaths to the Atatürk Monument, ended with the reading of the National Anthem.
