turkey will have reached my international corridors
turkey will have reached my international corridors

After making the Directorate for many years Highways newly established cabinet brought to the Transport and Infrastructure Ministry Mehmet Cahit Turhan, Turkey, West Europe, said mega projects to speed photo that will make a major transit center in the Far East trade.

Anatolia, the Caucasus, Central Asia and China in the region up to the West in the future both the transport and trade both in terms of tourism invaluable become Minister Cahit Turhan said the future of Turkey transportation and consciousness will provide value to the region in China's OBR projects that implement each to dial an international corridor at the foot of specifying a great effort they are trying Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge, Eurasia Tunnel, Istanbul Turkey of giant projects such as a new airport, adding that significant investments will translate to the international corridors.

UTIKAD Cahit Turhan Turkey's Minister for the magazine, which will give direction to major changes in the world's ecosystems logistics projects and logistics will examine how a change in the sense in Turkey's future was discussed.

You know the logistics sector as a bureaucrat originating from the Ministry of Transport. What will be the priority projects of your ministry in the logistics sector in the period of your Captain?

One of the most important conditions for strengthening the economy of the country is on comparative advantage and the other is on resource allocation efficiency. Therefore, the investments made in transportation and the strength of your logistics infrastructure make serious contributions to deliver what our regions with production capability produce to the domestic and foreign buyers in the most modern, fastest and safest way. Likewise, it is achieved that the manufacturer can access the most appropriate inputs at affordable costs in order to produce more quality and on time. In short, trade means the presence of trucks carrying trucks on the roads, trucks, Ro-Ro's swimming in the sea, trains flowing on rails, planes flying in the sky. Internet access to every home means accessing the market and information whenever you want. Production means; When we reinforce this with its social and cultural effects, development means prosperity. If you have provided them, it means the heart of your country is beating and your economy is growing. The desire to provide this infrastructure for our country lies behind the developments in transportation and communication in the past 16 years as a government.

Since 2003, Turkey's transport and communications infrastructure to about 502,6 billion were invested. We increased our divided road length from 6 thousand 100 kilometers on highways to 26 kilometers. Before us, only six provinces were connected by a divided road, and now we have successfully completed global scale giant highway projects such as 200. Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge and Eurasia Tunnel. We have renewed untouched railways for 76 years. We made Turkey the world's sixth-eighth of Europe's high-speed train operator in the country. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Project, our 150-year dream, Marmaray, and the Silk Railway dream from Far Asia to Western Europe, from Beijing to London, have become a reality. We put the Turkish-owned sea trade fleet among the top 150 countries in the world. We have 15 port facilities open to international cruise ships. In addition, we aimed to make one large port in the seas around our country. Work is underway to realize the North Aegean / Çandarlı Port superstructure, whose infrastructure has been completed in the Aegean Sea, with the build-operate-transfer (BOT) model. Construction works of Filyos Port started. Studies on Mersin Container Port continue. Again, we have made the most important progress in the shipbuilding sector among the fields with high added value and requiring advanced technology. We increased the number of 175 shipyards to 2003 in 37. We made an indisputable brand of yacht production in Turkey, and we rose to third place in the world.

We made the airway the way of the people. In 2002, we increased the flight network, which was carried out from two centers to 25 points in domestic lines, to 55 points from seven centers. In the international flights, we increased the number of flight points to 60 points to 316 points. The number of passengers, which was 2002 million in 35, exceeded 195 million. Now, we will open the Istanbul 200rd Airport, which can serve 3 million passengers, on 29 October with the honor of our President. Istanbul New Airport is one of the largest and most important projects in the world, with an investment value of 10,2 billion Euros and a rental income of 22,1 billion Euros. This airport, Turkey is very important in terms of economic power will bring to the show in terms of economy and Turkey.

China occupy the world agenda in the OBR projects, such as what work you carry out Turkey's Ministry to take part in this project?

The "One Belt One Road Project" initiated by the People's Republic of China, which is a candidate to become a new superpower, is also of great importance for our country. In the framework of the initiative, the Vision Certificate published in March 2015, China; It aims to create a huge infrastructure that connects Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and a network of transportation, investment, energy and trade. In this respect Turkey, "the Central Corridor" approach to China's "one generation we have launched an active diplomacy regarding a Road Project. by Turkey "modern Silk Road Project", also called Central Corridor, the existing line between East and West poses a complementary and safe route. The main axis of our country's transportation policies has been to undertake large-scale infrastructure investments to provide an uninterrupted transportation line from China to London. For the development of the historic Silk Road in the Middle Corridor, which stretches from the Far East to Europe and has been the route of trade caravans for centuries, it has been long in the field of railway networks in Anatolia and Caucasus and Central Asia and integration of highways. Our work with the countries in the region has been continuing closely. For this purpose, while taking important steps to develop a multi-directional transportation network in the Asia-Europe-Middle East axis, we also make projects that will improve the transportation connection in the east-west and north-south axis within the country. The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway line, which was opened last year, is therefore of great importance as an infrastructure that connects all roads reaching our country from China and Central Asia. This project does not merge only three countries. Britain, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey to Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan ' It connects China and China. An 829-kilometer railway line from Baku to Kars completes an important part of the Caspian-Crossing Middle Corridor line. The importance of this project will be better understood in the coming years. Because the trade between China and Europe has reached a size of 1,5 billion dollars a day. This trade flow is expected to continue increasingly and exceed $ 5 billion per day in 6-2 years. In this context, it is vital for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway line to operate at full capacity and to finish the roads that are complementary to this line. Therefore, with mega projects such as Marmaray Tube Pass, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, North Marmara Motorway and Eurasia Tunnel, Osmangazi Bridge, high speed train and high speed train lines, North Aegean Port, Gebze Orhangazi-İzmir Motorway, 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, Istanbul New Airport. We are increasing the benefit and importance of this corridor. In particular, we realize these giant projects, which will be the continuation of this corridor, with a public-private partnership, using both the fast, less cost and the private sector dynamics. Because we don't have the luxury to miss this train.

Giant projects such as Kanal Istanbul and 100rd Airport are included in your Ministry in the 3-Day Action Plan. How do you think the increase in exchange rates will affect the projects? What will these investments bring to the Turkish logistics industry?

In line with our understanding of contributing to the competitiveness of our country and increasing the quality of life of the society and serving our people in the best way, we continue our current transportation and infrastructure projects without slowing down, we add new ones to these large investments. We show every effort and determination to reach the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Within this framework, the projects included in the 100-Day Execution Program announced by our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are undoubtedly of great importance. I would like to express that these projects, each of which we have taken a distance, will play an active role in economic development and increase the welfare of our society, and will contribute to the rise of our country above the level of contemporary civilizations.

We will not allow games that are played on exchange rates to hinder these giant investments and projects. But on the instability in the region of Turkey, despite what conflicts and troubles that you know very well managed. The troubles we are facing now are never overcome for us. Free market principles will not be compromised. Our economy will strengthen with investment and trade. Please note that Turkey has taken steps each time according to changing situations and then will continue to take.

How will Istanbul 3rd Airport differ from Atatürk Airport in terms of cargo transportation?

The new airport is a very big project and we are asked questions such as what is the need for such a big airport. We are in a tremendous position to reach 3 billion people and a market of 4 trillion dollars with a 1,5-31 hour flight. In this context, Istanbul, Turkey's external position opened the door, it is located in the center of this traffic, and Istanbul's New Airport to be developed and should be considered to support this position. Having such a base that will serve as an activity center for ambitious airline companies on a global scale is an important factor. At this point, Istanbul New Airport will provide flights to 150 airline companies and over 350 destinations. Every plane that lands, takes off, passengers, even airplanes flying over our country will bring income to our economy.

Therefore, there are those who do not want Istanbul New Airport to be built. Because when Istanbul New Airport is built, Istanbul will become a global aviation center and many airports in the countries in the region will lose their importance. Istanbul New Airport will be the new hub of global airlines with its technical facilities and geographical location, and the share of someone from this cake will shrink. Because in trade, with the shift of the axis to the Asia-Pacific region, Istanbul New Airport will be the strongest airport in cargo. In addition, huge cargo ships that cannot land at Atatürk Airport will be able to land at New Airport. Super jumbo category aircraft such as Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8 will be able to approach our new terminal easily. Airlines are not operating flights to Turkey will do no more. The cargo area is exactly 1,4 million m² in size. In other words, it has a cargo area of 240 football fields. The cargo capacity will be 5,5 million tons.

100 of the Republic. What kind of logistics sector do you imagine?

First of all, the next period in terms of trade will be the period of the regions, including our geography. We believe that; The region from Anatolia, the Caucasus, Central Asia and even to the west of China will become much more important in the future in terms of transportation, trade and tourism, and much more will be discussed. OBOR also has a big share in this. Therefore, Turkey is soon in Asia, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, the Caucasus and the Black Sea between northern countries are trying to turn this into an international corridor in all modes of transport. Efforts are dialing or an international corridor in Turkey in all modes of transportation in Turkey have shown that economic success of the last 16 years.

As I have mentioned before, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Osmangazi Bridge, Eurasia Tunnel, Istanbul giant projects such as the new airport, Turkey are important investments that will translate to the international corridors. However, we have started to establish logistics villages in order to provide all the services needed by the logistics sector, which combine all modes of transportation under one roof so that we can meet the increasing demand with the One Generation One Road Project. Eight of the 21 logistics centers planned to be built in this context started operating, and the construction of one was completed. Construction work for all five is ongoing. I believe that any investment we make in the logistics sector, especially the railway sector, will make our country, which is located at the crossroads of east-west and north-south goods flow, whose potential exceeds 2 trillion dollars, an effective logistics base. Starting from China, which is called the "Central Corridor", the line that will connect the Central Asia and Caspian region to Europe through our country will transform it into the trade line of the future.
