Presidency sözcüsü Kalın announced that 97 percent of the new airport in Istanbul has been completed and the opening will take place on October 29, as previously stated.
In the statement made by the State Airports Authority (DHMİ) today, it has been announced that the move to the new airport will be carried out on 30-31 December 30 with the "Big Bang" method envisaged to be made on October 31-2018. Workers in the airport construction, which was tried to be trained for the opening, protested inhuman working conditions and worker murders, and 24 workers were arrested.
