In order to recognize the investment environment in the city, the Japanese delegation visited the solar power plant built by the Metropolitan Municipality on the roof of ESHOT workshops for electric buses.

Japanese investors who came to İzmir with the organization of İzmir Development Agency and Zafer Development Agency examined the electric bus project carried out by the Metropolitan Municipality and the solar energy system that supports this project in order to reduce the carbon emission in the city. The Japanese delegation, including Japan Cooperation Center for Middle East (JCCME) General Manager Takashi Oya, Director Wayama Takako, and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Tokyo Office Advisor Reina Maeda, including the electrical After touring by bus, he visited the workshops of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate in Gediz.

ESHOT executives who did not break this request, took Japanese investors to the roof.

64 is worth a thousand trees
Stating that they meet all the energy needs of electric buses with the solar power plant they have installed on the roof of the workshops in Gediz, ESHOT officials have saved approximately 2017 thousand liras in exchange for 1,5 million kWh energy since August 722 and with the electricity produced in the 1,38 MW power plant. He said that they prevented 13 tons of carbon dioxide emission in 2.559 months. Guest delegation members were also informed that this value is equal to the amount of CO64 that 175 thousand 2 trees can filter in one day.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization Tokyo Coordinator Ferda Gelegen, who is on the delegation, stated that they are a Vienna-based organization and they have been working in Japan since 1981, and because Istanbul is a very crowded region, Japanese companies are focusing on different centers of the country in terms of investment. Gelegen said that İzmir was one of these cities.

New solar power stations on the road
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate has also completed the feasibility studies of a total of 2 MW solar power plants to be installed in Adatepe and Çiğli garages after Gediz. Taking action to complete project approvals and tender preparations by the end of the year, ESHOT will be able to meet most of the electricity it consumes institutionally with these investments from the sun.
