After finishing Kilis Kemaliye Primary School and Kilis Middle School, he started his high school first class boarding at Konya High School, completed his 2nd and 3rd Grades at Istanbul Boys High School and graduated in 1945. He won the entrance exam to Istanbul University and started the Faculty of Medicine. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1951. He worked as a doctor and manager in many hospitals.


Professor Dr. Alaeddin Yavaşça's music life started with Western music violin lessons when he was still one year old at 8. The fact that he met with Turkish music seriously coincides with the years when he studied in Istanbul Erkek High School. During his years at the Faculty of Medicine, the university choir and soloist of the choir opened the doors to the radio. In 1950, he won radio exam and he joined the family of Istanbul radio.

Alaeddin Yavaşça, who composed his first work in 1951, has more than one 600 composition as a religious and non-religious instrument. He has a wide range of compositions ranging from ayin-i şeriften to a children's song. He gave concerts in many countries such as America, England and Germany. Alaeddin Yavaşca was awarded the title of Honorary Doctorate by the University of Gaziantep, Elazığ Fırat University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, İTÜ and Erzurum Atatürk University.
