Excavation Starts at Narlıdere Station

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues the manufacturing works of Narlıdere Metro, which was founded in June, at full speed. Construction works for DEU Hospital Station, which is located on the 7.2-kilometer line, start on Monday. For this reason, the traffic pattern will be changed at the intersection connected to İnciraltı via Mithatpaşa Street. The Atatürk statue, which will be temporarily moved to the junction of Sakarya Street and Governor Hüseyin Öğütçen Street, will be placed back to its original place after the completion of the works.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, which has increased the rail system network of the city from 14 kilometers to 11 kilometers with its uninterrupted investments for 180 years, continues the construction works of the F. Altay-Narlıdere line, whose foundation was laid in June and the tender price was 1 billion 27 million TL. Within the scope of the 7.2-kilometer line, it is time for Dokuz Eylül University Hospital Station. During the works to be carried out at the intersection of Mithatpaşa Street and İnciraltı Street, the existing roundabout will remain on the construction site, and vehicle drivers will be able to turn from the temporary intersections to be opened in Narlıdere and Konak directions.

Temporal change of Atatürk statue
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Statue in the working area will be removed by expert teams and transferred to its "temporary place" at the junction of Sakarya Street and Governor Hüseyin Öğütçen Street. After the completion of the works, it was announced that the statue will be reassembled in its old place. The work areas, which were temporarily closed with security boards, will be restored at the end of the construction works.
