The name of Istanbul New Airport is on the agenda of the Assembly

CHP Mersin Deputy Alpay Antmen gave a question proposal to Deputy President Fuat Oktay on the allegations that the 3rd Airport in Istanbul would not be named 'Atatürk'. Antmen, in his proposal, "Are the claims that the airport will be named" Abdulhamit Khan "true?" asked.

CHP Mersin Deputy Antmen gave a proposal to Deputy President Oktay on the allegations that Istanbul Atatürk Airport will not be named 'Atatürk'. Pointing out to Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's saying 'Istikbal is in the skies' in the text of the proposal, Antmen said, “The name of Atatürk, who gave us our free and independent life not only in our land and in the sea but also in the sky, and ending such discussions. will be ”.

Antmen, who also reacted to the removal of the names of 'Atatürk' from the statuses in Antalya, Afyon, Konya, Bursa, Sakarya, Antakya, Kayseri, Rize, Giresun and Eskişehir, said, “Even if Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was not present, he would go to the place of the airport even with a visa.”

The following questions were included in the proposal of CHP Antmen to Vice President Oktay with the request to be answered in writing:

“Are the allegations in the media that 'The airport will be named after Abdulhamit Khan' are correct? What is the reason why the name Atatürk is still not given to the airport? Who or who is disturbed by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his name?

During the last 16 year, how many statues, halls and public buildings in the name of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Ismet Inonu were removed? Which names have been replaced?

In the same period, how many public buildings, facilities and businesses were destroyed in the name of Atatürk and İsmet İnönü?

Again in the last 16 years, state ministries, undersecretaries and directorates, especially; Which official websites have Ataturk removed? ”
