Pedestrians Will Be Safer With The Bridge In Gebze

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is building a bridge to make pedestrian flow safer on the Gebze pass of the D-100 Highway. D-100 The Osman Yılmaz Neighborhood Pedestrian Bridge, similar to the large pedestrian bridges in the Izmit city crossing, is being completed. The bridge which will form an important pedestrian flow on the north-south axis of Gebze will also serve as elevators and escalators. The escalator and walkway are counting days to enter the bridge, where the bridge works.

87 METERS LONG
The pedestrian bridge that connects both sides of Gebze to each other in front of the Izmit Governorship Campus. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan is similar to the Yaya Bridge. The bridge, which will form an important transit line, will provide convenience for citizens who want to reach Fatih State Hospital. The pedestrian bridge with 87 meter length was 4 meter wide.

870 TON STEEL MATERIAL
The upper passage also includes an elevator for the disabled and the elderly. In the southern part of the pedestrian bridge, there are escalators, normal stairs and a disabled elevator. The pedestrian bridge was built to be steel-tethered with a steel upper structure. 870 tone steel material was used in the construction of the bridge.
