50 Annual Imagine Ropeway Project Launched in Kartepe

The cable car project, which will reach the summit of the Samanlı Mountains by starting the Izmit Bay and Sapanca Lake at the same time over the forests with many tree species, which is described as “50 years of dreams” in Kartepe, has started.

The cable car that will come to the agenda with the initiatives of Kartepe Mayor Hüseyin Üzülmez and which will be viewed as the “50-year dream” of Kartepe and follow the Izmit Bay and Sapanca Lake at the same time over the forests with many tree species and reach the summit of the Samanlı Mountains. FIRST HAT

The first serious step was taken by the Kartepe Municipality in Kocaeli, which has been on the agenda for many years. GROUND SURVEYING STUDIES

While the ropeway project is expected to cost around 71 Million TL, the Valter Elevator company, which receives the tender with the highest bid, will start building and direct installation with the ground study report to be prepared at the end of the works carried out by Imar Engineering. Ground surveys are planned to be completed in a short time.

Kartepe Mayor Hüseyin Üzülmez said, “Every election was on the agenda, but in the previous elections, we promised this. We have made great struggles to achieve this. Legal permits, procedures to be obtained, took a long time, both locally and centrally. But at the end of a 3,5 year struggle, the tender process was completed. Mr. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has provided us with great support. The cable car will make an important contribution to Kartepe tourism. At least 500 thousand people will receive this service annually. This will create a new tourist potential. The introduction of the cable car will have a great contribution both locally, across the country and internationally. ”
