After evaluating the reviews, Turhan said that they have traveled the route starting from Ankara Kayaş and obtained information from those responsible, and the project was included in the 100-day action plan of the government announced yesterday by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Turhan, referring to the process related to the project, “Ankara-Sivas YHT Project is an important high-speed transportation project where we will start the test drives in 2019 by completing the infrastructure and superstructure works until the end of the year and then open it to service after we receive the competence.” he spoke.

Pointing out that the project is located in the middle corridor of the Iron Silk Road connecting Europe to the Far East, Turhan stated that this line is one of the most important sections of the transportation corridor from Edirne to Kars.

Turhan emphasized that the project will be integrated with the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Line and the Iron Silk Road, not only with Sivas but also following Erzincan and Erzurum.

“The investment cost of our project is 9 billion 749 million liras. Our trains will operate at an operating speed of 250 kilometers per hour. Transportation between Ankara and Sivas will be reduced to 2 hours. We will provide convenience for our passengers who will travel on the Ankara-Sivas line, both economically and in travel time. ”
