YOLDER: "Train Accident Should Be Evaluated In The Light Of The Facts"

8 In the evening hours of July, the passenger train of Kapikule-Istanbul flight was overturned by the five wagons near the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ. 24 citizens were killed and many of our citizens were injured. This painful event has drowned us all. Before touching on the speculation about the reasons of the accident, we pray for those who lost their lives in the accident and pray for their condolences to their families.

After the accident, security measures in the railroads were brought to the agenda naturally in various media, especially in social media, and comments were made about the reasons and responsible persons of the accident, which we think were rushed and speculative. It is a situation that we are concerned with the urgent comments made by the people who do not have the knowledge and experience about the railroads and the fact that the events are drawn away from the realities by withdrawing from the realities. Rather than revealing the causes and responsible people of the accident, it is clear that evaluations from a purely political point of view will serve to move away from the realities by causing false perceptions. It should be kept in mind that the explanations made especially by non-governmental organizations or professional chambers will wear down these institutions which should be in the pursuit of continuous reality.

We would like to draw attention to a few points about the causes of the accident by moving away from the information pollution caused by the hasty sharing of information not received from the experts;

At this stage, our duty is to ensure that no one is declared guilty until the cause and responsible of the incident is fully determined in order to relieve the conscience of the society immediately after the accidents that deeply hurt the public. Following such painful events, the detention and subsequent detention of especially low-level workers became a general and passive practice, and many of the first inmates were acquitted in many similar cases.

As a last word, we invite everyone to be discreet, without forgetting that we will obtain concrete, scientific data with expert reports in order to learn the causes of the accident and negligence, and that only the arguments to be taken in the light of the facts can prevent similar painful events.
