The Cable Car Project, which is one of the projects of Rize Municipality but is delayed due to legal (court) processes, is no longer an obstacle. The project will be built between the Beach embankment area and Paşakuyu Mahallesi Şahin Hill. In the project to be built with the build, operate and transfer model, a Hotel and Social Facility will be built in Şahin Tepesi. The project with a 45 + 1 person transport cabin will be tendered for 30 years.
The expropriation of 30 thousand m2 area has been completed. The approval of the cable car transition protocol prepared by the 10th Regional Directorate of Highways was received. In addition, the zoning plan change request of the station of the cable car project, which is located in the coastal filling area, was approved by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization as of May 2018. The final file preparations have been completed for the cable car project to be put out to tender now.
With the coastal arrangement of the Teleferik Project, social spaces will be created to enable citizens to integrate with the sea. At the end of the project, it is planned to contribute to the development of our city in terms of tourism.
